Joe Burrow QB, LSU

He will be a star. This kid has all the tools to be a big-time NFL quarterback. The Bengals will be winners soon. (Pete Prisco)

Chase Young EDGE, OHIOST

Height: 6-5, Weight: 264

The power, the speed, reminds me of Julius Peppers. He's an exceptional athlete. It's a passer and pass rushers league. Last year they got their passer and this year they got the pass rusher. (Pete Prisco)

A

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 97

Strengths:

  • Athletic specimen re: height/weight/speed
  • Speed-to-power is elite
  • Has variety of pass-rush moves but consistently wins with power

Weaknesses:

  • Relies on power to beat offensive linemen; needs to vary pass-rush moves
  • Elite pass rusher but needs to get better against the run

I think they should have taken Derrick Brown. When in doubt, take the big guy. I don't think you can pass on big people that play like Derrick Brown. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 95

Strengths:

  • Exudes confidence
  • Best coverage CB in this class and it's not even close
  • At 6-1, 205, ideal size/speed for NFL CB

Weaknesses:

  • Sometimes struggles to get off WR blocks in run game
  • Could be better in run support
  • Can be too grabby on downfield routes

Andrew Thomas OL, UGA

Height: 6-5, Weight: 315

He's the best tackle in this draft class. I think he's the cleanest tackle. This kid's going to be a longtime starter on the left side. This year he'll start on the right. (Pete Prisco)

B+

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 92

Strengths:

  • Four-year starter who has improved each season
  • Can play both LT or RT
  • Flexibility and athleticism makes him a natural fit for LT in the NFL

Weaknesses:

  • Footwork is sometimes sloppy
  • Can struggle against speed rushers

1

5

Tua Tagovailoa QB, BAMA

Height: 6-0, Weight: 217

I understand why they picked him. The tape is good at times. There's also a lot of bad on that tape. He's not a big guy, he's a little brittle. To dismiss the medicals is ridiculous. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 95

Strengths:

  • Legit dual-threat QB than can beat you with arm or legs
  • The best deep-ball passer in this draft class
  • Great anticipation on short/intermediate routes, can fit ball in tight windows

Weaknesses:

  • Only has average arm strength
  • Below-average height
  • Injury history is a real concern

This kid has all the tools. Give him a little time and he can develop into a big-time quarterback. There's a lot to work with there. Yeah, he's got some mechanical issues but he can get those fixed. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 91

Strengths:

  • At 6-6, prototypical height for NFL QB
  • Has best arm in draft, can make every throw
  • Has athleticism to be a dual threat QB

Weaknesses:

  • Way too inconsistent despite starting four years
  • Struggles with touch on intermediate throws
  • Didn't always play big in big games

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 94

Strengths:

  • Regularly collapses the pocket

I'm not in love with this kid as a player. The range is phenomenal, but where does he play? Is he a safety? Is he a linebacker? Is he a hybrid? This kid to me is a safety. I don't think he's physical enough to play near the line of scrimmage. (Pete Prisco)

B-

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 95

Strengths:

  • Can line up at LB, slot corner, EDGE rusher and both safety positions
  • Elite athleticism allows him to easily match up vs. TEs/RBs and even slot WRs
  • Has sideline-to-sideline speed

Weaknesses:

  • Better as a LB than S
  • Doesn't always wrap up as a tackler
  • Doesn't take on blocks

B+

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 92

Strengths:

  • Has size and speed NFL teams look for in elite CBs
  • Great mirroring technique
  • Doesn't panic because he has recovery speed

Jedrick Wills Jr. OL, BAMA

There's better upside from the other two tackles available. This kid is clearly a right tackle, but has the body of a guard. I think there will be a transition for him moving over to the left side if indeed that's where they play him. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 93

Strengths:

  • Dominant run blocker
  • Insanely athletic for size
  • Plays with an edge

Weaknesses:

  • Needs to improve as a pass blocker
  • Can get beat on inside move in pass pro

1

11

Mekhi Becton OL, LVILLE

Height: 6-7, Weight: 364

Here's the thing on Becton, he's a freak athletically. He has a tendency to get really heavy and that's a concern. If he can keep his weight in check and be dedicated to his craft, he's going to be a good football player. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 92

Strengths:

  • Moves like someone who weighs a lot less
  • Has only 17% body fat
  • Road grader in run game; gets to second level with ease

Weaknesses:

  • Weighs 364 pounds, which isn't something you see in an NFL OT
  • Didn't face elite pass rushers during 2019 season
  • Needs to improve in pass protection

1

12

Henry Ruggs III WR, BAMA

Height: 5-11, Weight: 188

You can't teach speed. This kid can take the top off. He's tough. He'll be able to handle press coverage in the NFL. (Pete Prisco)

A

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 92

Strengths:

  • Almost always the fastest person on the field
  • Can score on short, intermediate, deep routes
  • Only dropped one ball in 2019; tough YAC runner

Weaknesses:

  • Needs to improve as a route runner
  • Will need to prove he can routinely beat press man

I think it's a solid pick. I don't think there's much difference between the top four tackles. I had Thomas as my top tackle, but not by much. (Pete Prisco)

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 93

Strengths:

  • Rare athletic ability for someone that size
  • Can play both RT and LT
  • Wrestling background shows up on tape; can manhandle D-linemen

Weaknesses:

  • Sometimes struggles with speed rushers around the edge
  • Sometimes plays off-balance
  • Some NFL teams might prefer him at guard

1

14

Javon Kinlaw DL, SC

Height: 6-5, Weight: 324

It's not that I don't like Kinlaw. He has the potential to be a dominant player like Chris Jones of the Chiefs. But is he a better player than DeForest Buckner who they traded for to get the Colts pick? They essentially replaced Buckner with Kinlaw. (Pete Prisco)

B-

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 93

Strengths:

  • Elite pass rusher despite size
  • Has strength to overpower blockers and collapse pocket
  • Has size/athleticism to play anywhere along D-line

Weaknesses:

  • Needs to add more pass-rush moves
  • Can sometimes get to upright in pass rush
  • Needs to be better with hand usage/placement

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 92

Strengths:

  • Best route-runner in this draft class
  • Sneaky speed to win on deep routes
  • Almost impossible to bring down in the open field

Weaknesses:

C+

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 90

Strengths:

  • Long, athletic prototypical CB
  • Ran 4.42 at combine and that speed shows up on tape
  • Cover corner who excels in press-man

Weaknesses:

  • Didn't face much competition in ACC
  • Better in man than zone schemes

I think they would have picked a pass rusher here had Lamb not fallen to them. If you are true to your board and have a great grade on the guy, you have to take him. (Pete Prisco)

B+

Draft Scouting Report:

B

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 84

Strengths:

  • Physical with extensive press-man experience
  • Outstanding mirroring ability thanks to good athleticism

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 88

Strengths:

  • Athleticism pops on film right away
  • Snaps out of his stance and has light feet
  • Run game specialist
  • Adequately aware of stunts and can get there
  • Mostly solid anchor

Weaknesses:
